Yard Technician Kenny Graham Wins the May Core Employee Award

“Integrity” means doing the right thing without being told to do it. Kenny Graham, a yard technician at EquipmentShare Baton Rouge, knows all about doing the right thing — even when no one is watching — and that’s why he’s this month’s Core Employee Award winner. 

“I nominated Kenny because of his great attitude and willingness to help his teammates,” Michael Pocorello, territory account manager at EquipmentShare’s Baton Rouge location, said in his submission. “Every time I’m at the branch, Kenny is walking up with a smile and asking if he can help.”

Kenny’s been with EquipmentShare for almost two years, and at work, his teammates say he is helpful, optimistic and always looking for solutions. Recently, he went above and beyond the call of duty by lending Michael a hand outside of work hours. Baton Rouge had received a lot of rain, which resulted in flooding, and Michael’s family was affected.

“My parents’ home flooded, and he offered up equipment he owned to help get them dried out until I could get some additional equipment,” Michael said. “I didn’t have to ask for help; he offered and went as far as delivering the equipment to my parents’ house before he showed up for work.”

Kenny’s supervisors and other team members echo Michael’s sentiments. 

“Kenny truly exemplifies [our core values] at ES,” Kasey Barnes, district sales manager at Baton Rouge, said in his submission. “He goes beyond all measures to help anyone he possibly can. Kenny never expects anything in return. He just does the next right thing.”

Thanks to Kenny, Michael’s family’s home was taken care of, and our Baton Rouge team was able to witness our values in action because of Kenny’s selflessness. He represents the positive attitude and compassionate culture that our company values, and we’re grateful to have him on the team.
