Odenton, MD— [Dec. 11, 2025]EquipmentShare, a leader in connected jobsite technology and one of the largest equipment rental providers in the United States, joined officials to cut the ribbon at its newest location in Odenton, Maryland. The ceremony marked the start of operations at the new facility and coincided with the announcement of an open site selection process to identify locations for an additional 10 branches across Maryland. The expansion across these 10 sites is expected to create 250 to 500 new jobs and a projected investment ranging from $350 million to $700 million dollars.

“EquipmentShare’s expansion into Odenton represents exactly the kind of momentum that keeps Central Maryland competitive and growing. Our region is attracting forward-looking companies because of our unmatched workforce, our proximity to federal and commercial assets, and our culture of innovation. This investment brings new jobs, new opportunities, and a long-term commitment to strengthening our economic landscape. We are proud to welcome EquipmentShare as a partner in building the future of Maryland.” – Dewan Clayborn, President & CEO of Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

The expansion represents a significant commitment, with each new location associated with 25-50 new jobs and projected investment (equipment, capital improvements, renovations, year one salaries) ranging from $35 million to $70 million across the state. This will be EquipmentShare’s third location in Maryland, significantly boosting its footprint in the Mid-Atlantic.

“Contractors in the Northeast are delivering essential work every day,” said Jabbok Schlacks, co-founder and CEO of EquipmentShare. “Opening in these key markets gets our T3 platform and a modern, well-maintained fleet closer to the jobs that matter. It means better visibility, faster service, and more uptime for teams across the Northeast.”

Tech-Forward Fleet to Serve DMV Contractors

The Odenton branch, located on 1875 Mayfield Rd, will operate as a Core Solutions branch, providing local delivery, field service, and rapid on-site support for contractors throughout the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.

The branch offers a modern fleet of earthmoving, aerial, compaction, and material handling equipment. Every machine comes fully equipped with the company’s vertically-integrated T3® platform. This built-in connected technology provides customers with:

  • Real-time Visibility: Asset tracking and utilization insights.
  • Safety & Security: Credentialed access keypads with individual PIN codes to prevent unauthorized use and reduce theft.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Smart alerts to maximize uptime and keep projects on schedule.

Technology-first branch model:

  • T3 from day one: The branch activates T3 telematics, access control, and asset tracking on delivery, giving customers real-time visibility, utilization insights, and maintenance automation immediately.
  • Vertically integrated and OEM agnostic: T3 is vertically integrated, OEM agnostic, and interoperable across mixed fleets, supporting integrations with most major makes and models.
  • Three divisions, one platform: Core Solutions for earthmoving, aerial, compaction, and material handling. Advanced Solutions™ for engineered pump, power, and climate control. Tooling Solutions for calibrated torque, welding, hydrostatic testing, and industrial supplies. Every asset connects through T3.

As part of the company’s community commitment, the Odenton branch will allocate $2,500 to Toys for Tots as part of its annual gift to local nonprofits. All employees also receive 16 hours of paid volunteer time to support local needs.

Open call for sites and partnerships

EquipmentShare is actively encouraging communities throughout the DMV to submit sites and property packages for evaluation for the planned additional branches. Proposals should be detailed, including utility access, zoning, workforce availability, incentive programs, and proximity to key infrastructure and projects. Proposals can be submitted through the company’s economic development page at https://www.equipmentshare.com/real-estate.

About T3

EquipmentShare outfits its fleet with durable tracking hardware that’s connected to its high-powered technology platform, T3™, to give contractors visibility into their jobsite and accelerate productivity. Rental customers can access important fleet, personnel and jobsite information to manage teams, meet safety compliance, reduce machine theft and analyze digestible and dynamic fleet data. The tracking hardware can also record data to help contractors monitor equipment utilization, GPS location, fuel usage, maintenance history and upcoming service for each asset. EquipmentShare’s fleet management technology solutions notify service managers and technicians when a machine is approaching or past due on maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition, and prevent breakdowns which lead to downtime — a major pain point for the construction industry.
